GU10 Finalist Rich Bailey Girls Friendship Tournament

Congratulations to the Apex SC Girls ’97 team who had a Finalist Finish in the Rich Bailey Girls Friendship Tournament. The Apex girls were undefeated in pool play outscoring their opponents 2-1 vs. Irvine Spirit, 2-0 vs. OJSC Dynamite, and 4-1 vs. MV Galaxy. It was a great accomplishment by all the Apex SC members defending and attacking as a team; with half of the team scoring at least one goal in pool play to advance to the Championship game. In the Finals the girls faced the OSC United Warriors in what turned out to be a very hard fought battle and a 0-0 half time score. The second half was the same great soccer played by both teams with the Apex SC girls hitting the post but not able to capitalize. In the end OSC United was able to squeak one goal in and win the final game. Congratulations to the Apex SC girls for a great tournament and 2nd place finish overall.

The team is preparing for State Cup next weekend at Freedom Park in Camarillo.
