Kyle played collegiate soccer for the Kingsmen of California Lutheran University from 1997 - 2000. In the ‘97 season the Kingsmen were the undefeated SCIAC League Champions and Western Regional Champions earning the NSCAA’s national ranking of 7th in the nation. The following year the Kingsmen clinched the League title again only losing one game and advancing to the NCAA tournament for the second season in a row. While playing at CLU, Kyle coached the Thousand Oaks High School boy’s freshman team to a league championship in the 97/98 season and was named as the head coach of the JV team the two following seasons. After the college and high school seasons Kyle worked for Softsport Inc. as a game analyst for the MLS’ Los Angeles Galaxy along with various other Men’s ’98 World Cup teams from ‘97-‘99.
In 2000 Kyle joined the Women’s Division I staff at The University of Arizona in Tucson as the Undergraduate Assistant Coach/Manager under head coach Cathy Klein. Kyle worked in the recruitment process to bring some of the top 40 female players in the country to the Arizona team. While working at Arizona Kyle was the head soccer coach for the Catalina Foothills girl’s U12 team and the assistant coach for the boy’s varsity team at Catalina Foothill High School helping them to clinch another League Championship in the 03/04 season. Kyle earned his secondary teaching credential in Biology and Physical Education in May 2004.
In 2004 Kyle moved back to California to start teaching and joined Apex Soccer Club as the head coach of the Apex Boys '93 team. During the 2005/2006 season Kyle was the head coach of the Girl’s Varsity program at Newbury Park High school and an Assistant Coach for Women’s Soccer at California Lutheran University. Following 05/06 league seasons Kyle was named the General Manager for Apex Soccer Club in charge of the day to day operations along with being named the director of the Apex Youth Academy. Kyle is currently the head coach for the Boys ’98 and ’93 teams and is also the Regional Director for Ventura County for Team Soccer Direct Schools.
