John Krill comes to the Apex Club with three years of coaching experience from Minneapolis/St. Paul.

He graduated from Thousand Oaks High School after three seasons at the varsity level from 1996-1998. His awards included Team MVP, Team Captain, Marmonte League Offensive MVP, All-CIF Southern Section Division II Team, and voted the Thousand Oaks Athlete of the Year.

Krill played collegiate soccer under Dave Wolf at Westmont College in Santa Barbara from 1999-2001. The team attended Nationals twice (1998 and 2000) and won the GSAC twice (1998 and 2001). The Men’s Soccer team had a record of 59-14-8 over the four years Krill played with the Westmont Warriors. His accomplishments include winning The Golden Eagle Award three years in a row for outstanding achievement academically and athletically.

He and his wife lived in Minnesota for three years from 2002-2005 where he coached and trained for youth soccer year round. His experience includes coaching for two youth soccer clubs (Hopkins Dynamo Soccer Club and the Edina Soccer Club). He worked with various age groups including Girls U9 and U12 and Boys U10, U12 and U14. In addition to his experience with soccer clubs, he served as head coach for the Women’s Sophomore and Junior Varsity teams during the Fall of 2003 and 2004 respectively at Edina High School. Under his instruction, the Sophomore team posted a school record as the first girls soccer team at any level to ever go undefeated.

John Krill joined Apex Soccer Club in 2007 as the head coach of the Boys 98 team and a staff of the Apex Youth Academy.
