Alicia played club soccer locally from U-12 –U19 for Las Chivas and Las Virgenes Soccer Club. She played 4 years of Varsity soccer for La Reina High School where she was picked as the division IV All-Southern Section player 2 times. She helped La Reina to the CIF semifinals in ’94 and ’95. Alicia set La Reina’s single-season freshman goal scoring record, and was captain her senior year.
She attended Santa Clara University where she played Division 1 Women’s soccer from 1997-1999. Each year Alicia played at Santa Clara they were the West Coast Conference Champions and made it to the Final Four in the NCAA Division I Tournament. In 1998 she was awarded most improved player. She graduated from Santa Clara in 2001 with BA in Elementary Education and an Art Minor.
Alicia began working for Kidz Love Soccer a recreational soccer school in 2000 where she coached kids ages 3.5-12 using the KLS curriculum. In 2003 she became a Zone Director in charge of 4 cities. In 2004 became the Assistant Coaching Director. From 2004-2006 she was the South Bay Regional Coaching Administrator in charge of training, mentoring, supervising and managing all South Bay coaches. She was also the Head Regional Coaching Administrator in charge of training, mentoring and supervising all RCA’s in Washington and California.
As a club coach she was the Assistant coach for De Anza Force-United ’92 Boys from 2003-2005. They placed 4th in Santa Clara Rotary Cup, were Chico Invitational Champions and District Cup Champions. From 2003-2004 she also coached the Santa Clara Sporting U-12 Girls who placed 2nd in The Wine Country Classic. From 2005-2006 she was Head Coach of the DeAnza Force Fusion Girls Team.
Alicia returned to Ventura County in 2006 and has joined Apex Soccer Club as the head coach of the Girls ‘97 and ‘94 teams.
